As frightening as it was, I plunged in and did a full-on drawing, not just a sketch! It is #50, after all… halfway there.

This drawing was done with a black brush-point pen. my first foray into brush point, with not much experience with pen at all! I was so sure that the shading lines would be totally to odark and thick, but to my surprise… no! They do read as shadow. I’m looking forward to playing with this!

I know, she doesn’t look very happy, but don’t let that grimace fool you. Even though she spent half her holidays in bed with the flu, and she had to go back to a full day at work today, hopped up on way too much cold medication, she’s really happy to be drawing again. No, really. She really is. No, I mean it. Seriously. um, ok. Fool-proof way to show you she’s happy?
